Denuvo Anti-Cheat Removed From Doom EternalTGIND (Thank God It’s Not Denuvo)

Doom Eternal recently incorporated Denuvo Anti-Cheat software to much criticism. Everyone hates Denuvo. The software apparently caused crashing and other performance based issues. To cut a long story short, it’s now being removed. Supposedly “within the week”. Fantastic.

White Day Ultimate Horror BundleWhite Day Ultimate Horror Out Now on PC and PS4

Korean horror game, White Day has a new edition out now, containing all of the cosmetic DLC and… that’s it. Admittedly, there is no “story DLC”, so I don’t know what I expected. I like the game. I do not care for pointless costumes. But if that’s your sort of thing, maybe you’ll be interested in the ‘Ultimate Horror Bundle’!

Baroque Original on Sega SaturnJapanese Sega Saturn Game ‘Baroque’ Being Released on Nintendo Switch

Titled “Baroque: Original Version”, this seems to be a straight port of the Japan-only 1998 Sega Saturn version. The game was also ported to the PlayStation in 1999. It was finally remade and (also) released in the West in 2008, for the PS2 and Wii. Many fans still prefer the original though, with its significantly darker atmosphere – and Switch owners will finally be able to experience (or re-experience) Baroque… if they’re in Japan. We can only hope we get a version released in English!

Justice League - Synder CutJustice League’s “Snyder Cut” to be released on HBO Max in 2020

Geez, HBO Max seems to be doing everything recently! Well hey, whatever. If you’re interested in the much talked about ‘Snyder Cut’ of the (okay) Justice League film, then this should be exciting news. Personally, I don’t care too much, but I am still interested in what the differences are. Liz should probably have written this. DC Comics is more her thing.

FIRE (POZAR)David Lynch’s Short Animated Film FIRE (POZAR) Now On Youtube

Glorious days. The ol’ ‘ten gallon cowboy’ himself has just released his short film (created in collaboration with Marek Zebrowski and Noriko Miyakawa), FIRE (POZAR), for free on his ‘David Lynch Theatre’ YouTube channel. That’s right, the same one being used for his daily weather reports. Probably worth keeping an eye on.

As for the film – I like it! But don’t listen to me! Form your own opinion and watch it now!

Tin-Man by Mike MignolaCheck Out This Cool New Art From Mike Mignola!

Mignola, of Hellboy fame, has been creating a variety of sketches to be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to World Central Kitchen. You can check out the art on his Twitter, or Instagram accounts… As part of his recent postings, you can find a bunch of cool Pokémon, Thundercats and… Wizard of Oz? As well as many more.

Some great art, from one of my favourite comic book writers/artists!

La Muerta Retaliation KSBrian Pulido’s Latest Kickstarter: La Muerta: Retaliation

Disclaimer: I have backed all (except for one) of Pulido’s other KS projects.

Brian Pulido, perhaps best known for his Lady Death character, is at it again. Since 2015 Pulido and co. at ‘Coffin Comics’ have been running a number of campaigns every year to print and ship the ongoing Lady Death adventures, as well as a variety of other properties. Including La Muerta – a “Mexi-Noir thriller” partially inspired by Desperado and Death Wish.

I really like the Coffin Comics Kickstarters because the quality, consistency and customer service is always there. The books are great, always end up with a huge number of stretch-goal bonuses and the campaigns are run fantastically well. Free autographs come with every book! The ‘bad-girl’ style of comic is probably not for everyone, but if it is, this will be perfect for you!

Lana Del Rey New AlbumLana Del Rey Plans to Release New Album on September 5

But will people still love her when she’s no longer young and beautiful? That is the question…

I like a decent amount of Rey’s music and am somewhat excited for the new album (I’m a bigger fan of Radiohead though. Haha.). I’m not as enthused about all of the controversies and other stuff surrounding her and her lyrics. You can read more, if you want. Okay.

Damon Albarn and 2D on Jimmy KimmelDamon Albarn and 2D, of the Gorillaz Perform Latest Song on Jimmy Kimmel Live

I don’t regularly watch Kimmel (personally I’m more into Conan, or Stephen Colbert), but I’m glad I checked out a recent episode, the other night. Damon Albarn – “real” singer of the band Gorillaz, performed a duet with 2D – “cartoon” singer of the band Gorillaz. The song in question was ‘Aries’, the latest in their ‘Songmachine’ series. I can never get enough Gorillaz!
