What’s this? We’re actually (somewhat) early in reporting on something?! It’s all thanks to me – Dave Capelli – and my continued dedication to punctuality [Editor’s Note – Actually, this information has been out for a long time… Look it up! – Lorenzo].
Alisa – The Awakening is a new, upcoming horror game from Casper Croes, styled on late-90s games (i.e. PS1 horror games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil) – TANK CONTROLS and all, coming to a Kickstarter near you! It is “set in a fantasy universe inspired on the 1920s. You play as an Elite Royal Agent called Alisa. While she is chasing a wanted criminal, she ends up in an old Victorian mansion. She tries to find a way out while being haunted by materialized/mechanized doll-like humanoids. Can you survive the Dollhouse?”
Pretty cool! The demo is OUT NOW and can be downloaded from Casper’s Itch.IO page. I personally think it reminds me a lot of American McGee’s Alice – apparently, I’m not alone. Another player mentioned this, and Casper responds: “My starting point was Resident Evil and Svankmajer’s Alice. But ditched the whole Alice thing and went to more Bloodborne vibes later on. But sure you can still see some Alice left overs. This game is not a psychological horror game, it’s all reality in a fantasy universe.” Certainly, it sounds rather interesting and I cannot wait to give it a spin.
A new trailer for Alisa has also recently been released, which you can view below.
We will be following the game’s development and will let you know when the Kickstarter is launched. Any other Kickstarter projects (games, or otherwise) you want to see reported on? Are you about to release a KS campaign yourself? Let us know down below (or via email)!
Over and Out,
